Welcome back!
Today’s lesson is perfect for small talk — because talking about the weather is a universal habit. Whether you’re greeting a neighbour in Punjab or chatting online with friends, knowing how to describe the weather will come in handy.

1. Talking About the Weather

In Punjabi, we often start sentences with ਅੱਜ (Ajj – “today”) or ਮੌਸਮ (Mausam – “weather”).

☀️ Sunny

(Ajj dhupp hai.) → It’s sunny today.
(Mausam garam hai.) → The weather is hot.

🌧 Rainy

(Ajj mīnh pai rihā hai.) → It’s raining today.
(Mausam bhijjā hai.) → The weather is wet.

❄️ Cold

(Ajj ṭhaṇḍ hai.) → It’s cold today.
(Mausam bahut ṭhaṇḍā hai.) → The weather is very cold.

🔥 Hot

(Ajj garmī hai.) → It’s hot today.
(Mausam bahut garam hai.) → The weather is very hot.

2. Seasons in Punjabi

Here are the main seasons:

(Garmī) → Summer
(Sardī) → Winter
(Barsāt) → Rainy/Monsoon Season
(Basant) → Spring

Example:

(Basant dā mausam sohnā hundā hai.) → Spring weather is beautiful.

3. Practice Time
